Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my interest in the Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
position within your organization. With over 10 years of comprehensive pre- and postcontract experience across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and West Africa, I have developed
a strong technical foundation in cost management, commercial control, and contract
administration for major building, infrastructure, industrial, MEP, and marine projects..
I hold a B.Sc. (Hons) in Quantity Surveying & Construction from De Montfort
University (UK), along with professional training in MEP Quantity Surveying. My career
has involved working with reputable contractors on large-scale projects including
desalination plants, steel factories, high-rise towers, and residential developments, with
project values exceeding SAR 2.7 billion, USD 350 million, and AED 1.2 billion.
In my previous roles, I handled a wide range of responsibilities such as quantity takeoff,
BOQ preparation, tendering & estimation, subcontractor management, variation
and claim preparation, IPA/IPC certifications, cost control, and commercial
reporting. I am well-versed in international standards including NRM1/NRM2, SMM7,
POMI, CESSM, and FIDIC (1987, 1999 & 2017). I also have a strong command of
essential QS software such as AutoCAD, PlanSwift, and MS
Office.
I bring a strong commitment to accuracy, teamwork, and timely delivery of commercial
deliverables. My experience dealing with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project
teams has strengthened my communication and negotiation skills. I am currently based
in Dubai and available to join immediately, which allows me to adapt quickly to your
project requirements.
