Job Details

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook French and international breakfast dishes such as croissants, French toast, crêpes, omelettes, eggs Benedict, pancakes, waffles, quiches, and sandwiches.
Prepare fresh breakfast ingredients, sauces, fillings, pastries, and accompaniments.
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to the café's recipes, quality standards, and presentation requirements.
Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation.
Prepare food efficiently during busy breakfast service.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
Follow food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures.
Monitor food stock and inform the Head Chef about shortages or required ingredients.
Minimize food wastage through proper preparation, storage, and portion control.
Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
Assist with menu preparation and introduce new breakfast dishes when required.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items according to food safety requirements.
Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and other assigned duties.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Commis Chef, Chef de Partie, or similar role.
Experience in a café, restaurant, hotel, or French-style kitchen is preferred.
Good knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques and French cuisine.
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Passion for food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
