Join our dynamic team here at the InterContinental Fujairah Resort!

We are looking for energetic Interns to join our Front Office team!
You should have sound knowledge of the hotel's facilities and services. You will be responsible to welcome guests, handle check in and checkout procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

· Greets all guests at all times in a friendly and helpful manner and attempts to learn and use guest's name at every opportunity

· Registers and rooms all arrivals according to established procedures

· Maintains intimate knowledge of departmental standards and procedures

· Performs check in, check out and room change procedures and ensures all data are entered completely into the hotel systems in accordance with reservation

· Knowledgeable of all special promotion procedures, for programs such as; Seasonal Packages, Frequent Flyers Programs, and also Intercontinental Hotels Group Loyalty programs.

· Attends to guest's complaints, inquiries and requests, referees problems to supervisor/Assistant Manager if he/she unable to assist

· Does everything possible to ensure that the guests depart the hotel with a positive impression of hotel service

· Maintains comprehensive knowledge of standard reservation procedures including correct forms to use, how to read telex, e-mail, messages, and how to interpret availability sources within the reservation systems

· Maintains exemplary deportment standards of behavior and appearance and attitude as expected in a IHG® Brand

· Takes personal interest and pride to ensure that the front desk work area is kept clean and in an orderly state al all times

· Endeavours to maintain the high standards of the hotel with particular regard to the importance of IHG® Loyalty Program member and other VIP's and with reference to hotel and to be a health or safety hazard

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate should have a willingness to put in an extra effort and time when required, as well as the passion to serve guests. You will work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and enjoy working with a multi-cultural team and guests alike, while possessing following additional skills & competencies:

Ideally from a Hospitality or Hotel Management School

Contract duration is for 6 months

Flexible and can adapt to change easily

Must be a team player

Communicates effectively in English thru verbal, written or listening means.

This job requires ability to perform the following:

Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.

Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.

Able to work alone as well as being a team member.

Communication skills used frequently when interacting with guests and employees.

Basic reading, writing, and math abilities are used often when reading room assignments, completing checklists, replacing room linens and amenities.

Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 10 kilograms and ability to push/pull medium to largeweights/objects.

Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
