Café Supervisor – Job Responsibilities

Supervise daily café operations and ensure smooth and efficient service.
Manage and coordinate café staff, including duty allocation, attendance, and shift schedules.
Ensure high standards of customer service and handle customer complaints professionally.
Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and compliance with company standards.
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food-safety standards are maintained at all times.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of food, beverages, packaging, and other supplies.
Check stock deliveries, storage conditions, expiry dates, and stock rotation.
Handle cash, POS transactions, daily sales reports, and cash reconciliation.
Monitor sales performance and implement measures to improve revenue and customer satisfaction.
Control wastage, portion sizes, and operational costs.
Train and guide new and existing staff on service standards, hygiene, and company procedures.
Ensure café equipment and facilities are properly maintained and report any breakdowns promptly.
Coordinate with suppliers, maintenance teams, and management as required.
Ensure compliance with municipality, health, safety, and company regulations.
Prepare daily operational reports and provide feedback to management.
Open and close the café according to established procedures.
Maintain a professional, welcoming, and safe environment for customers and staff.
Support management in promotions, special events, and other business initiatives.
